Real Madrid after Cesc again Saturday, July 26, 2008
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is believed to be considering a move for EURO 2008 star Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal, according to reports in Spain.
La Liga Champions Real Madrid appear to be switching their attention to Gunners midfielder Fabregas, with their attempts to prise Cristiano Ronaldo away from Manchester United to the Bernabeu proving unsuccessful so far this summer.
However, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is sure to take the same stance as Sir Alex Ferguson with Ronaldo and not be pushed into selling his star performer, with Fabregas himself stating recently he had no desire to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Wenger has always maintained that 21-year-old Fabregas is not for sale, with it being even more unlikely due to midfielders Gilberto Silva, Mathieu Flamini and Alexander Hleb already being allowed to leave Arsenal this summer.
